Achievment Gap

What do you think caused the achievment gap? I guess the achievment gap was caused because kids don't work to their full potential.

What can students do to close the achievmet gap?
- Work more to thier full potential
-believe in themselves
-Try all thier best

What cab parents do?
- Help thuer kids on what they can
- try to understand thier kid
-Work with them.

What teachers/ schools do?
- Have higher expectations on the kids.
-work harder with them
-give them extra help and also help them with thier needs or at least try to help them with what they can.

1) What didiyou yhimk of Tom Hayden?
Well... i think he is a great man and he is also a great speacker.
2) Tom Hayden does he talk about himself as a civil rights leader.Do see him as one? Why or why not?
He does not think of himself as a civil rights leader. I do see him as one but at the same tome i don't. because by the way he talks he does sound like one But when you meet him he isn't as presentable as i thought he might be as Mr. Joe Hicks.
3) Tom Hayden feels that leaders are not as important as the hundred and thousand of people behind him. What can he mean by that?
He might mean that thepeople count more than the governments thoughts and ideas.

Well... i don't really know what to write. Except that today in Mr. Carr's class we met Tom Hayden. He was talking about himself and the war in Vietnam. That's all i can remember. It really wasn't a fun day.

the sign" stop hurting yourself" means to not use or do something that will hurt you or your body. To not use harmful things that will harm you as well as the other people around you. ( family, Friends, etc.,)
